Black Hat SEO is optimizations that are against search engine guidelines. If you step too far over the mark, your site may be penalized or even removed from the index.
White Hat SEO techniques involve building a great website, full of unique content and promoting that website legitimately and within search engine guidelines

White hat technique is the legal and natural technique of SEO and Black hat technique is not the nature technique, it is like spamming.

A technique used to manipulate the search engines is called as black hat Search engine optimization (SEO). The problem is that white hat SEO does the same thing, therefore, it is not any less “dirty” than black hat in some ways.
White Hat advice is summed up as creating content for users, not for search engines and then make that content easily accessible to their spiders. It is more about user friendliness and accessibility rather than about tilting the odds seriously in one’s favor.
Black hat SEO employs more deceptive methods. Usually, the search engines disapprove these techniques. This can range from text that is ‘hidden’, either as text colored similar to the background or by redirecting users from a page which is built for search engines to one that is more human friendly.

White hat seo is where you obey the search engine rules and do not use manipulative methods which would be against their TOSS. Basically original content and natural links would be white hat.
Black hat is where you disobey any rules which will be productive to your temporary search engine success. Black hats will use any means at their disposal to gain rankings and because of that they tend to get caught after a while. That is why most good black hats recycle domains frequently and keep restarting new ones to keep the money flowing.
