Converting FLV to MOV And How Do They Relate?
FLV is just a Flash video file container format used to deliver video over the Internet using Adobe Flash Player versions 6 through 11. The most popular sites on the Web use the FLV as their primary source for sending and post videos on their sites. These include YouTube, Google, Yahoo and HULU, as well as most online news sources or news network at their main Web pages.

When you see a file with the extension FLV, you know of it a video file that needs a video program to open. Usually this is as simple as double clicking the file and allowing your computer to find the appropriate program to open the file. If your computer does not have the right program to open these files, you should receive a message asking if you would like to search the internet for the program required, but if you have Adobe Flash player installed, all you may need is an updated version.

The IOC is essentially the same as the FLV; However, this is another extension, and originally suggested QuickTime but can play in other programs, such as Windows Media Player and RealPlayer.
