Google Wave Suspension

I got hold of this news item that the Google search engine or Big G will be cancelling out the New Google Wave. I really am surprised about this matter because I have been using this for quite some time already. There are a lot of features that it offers that have really made things possible for me. I want some explanations from Google but apparently I can’t get my questions to them. Is there anyone in this online forum site that knows the reason for the cancellation or suspension of the new Google Wave? Thanks in advance for the information.
